Every effort is being made under the watchful eyes of the Opposition Party the New Democratic Party to clean up the voters list in preparation for the upcoming general elections schedule for 2015. But can a clean voters list assist in ensuring that the 2015 general election is free and fair? While the answer to this question is a definite yes there are other factors that must be brought into the equation, one of which is the election officers who counts the ballots. One Minister of government is reported to have made a comment to the effect that it is not about the people who vote in the next general election it is about the people counting the ballots that will determine which party gets into office. This comment has left members of the New Democratic Party wondering if there is already a plan up the sleeve of the governing party to rig the upcoming election. They are however hopeful that Vincentians will not make the same mistake but will elect a team that would work in their best interest to improve the quality of life currently being experience in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
