Every monster I have fought in the outer world have only been reflections of the monsters in my inner world. When I fought the ignorance of others, it was really my own ignorance I fought. When I fought the selfishness in others, I was really waging war with my own. When I battled the disbelief in others, I was only battling my own. When I condemned the weakness in others, it was really my own weakness I was condemning. The only reason I feared the power of outer monsters is because I was afraid it meant the inner monsters in their power could consume me too. I only fought them because I knew they existed in me. And now that I know this, I know that the only fruit of these battles comes from mastering and conquering them from within.
