Every person deserves a safe place simply by right of being! These refugees have been living in fear and darkness. They now deserve compassion, protection and basic needs. NETWORK LOBBY Current hearings on Capitol Hill show how reprehensible it is when the safety of immigrant children and desperate mothers becomes less important than partisan grandstanding on immigration. NETWORK has taken a strong stand on the moral imperative to protect the thousands of children appearing at our borders, and Sister Simone Campbell is being quoted on this issue in the international media, including in Guatemala, El Salvador and Argentina. Our elected officials must prove to all of us that they will come together in a bipartisan manner to address a crisis that endangers thousands of vulnerable children. Building more walls is not the answer.
