Every sport needs a referee of some sort, but the game sucks when the officials blow the whistle on every play. My position is NOT that regulations are unneeded. My position is that there is good regulation and bad regulation. In Business, good regulation keeps competition open and honest without impeding the flow of commerce. However, our current regulatory regime stifles competition, obfuscates corruption, and reduces the flow of commerce to a snail’s pace.
