Every time the NYPD vs. Mayor De Blasio comes on the TV or I see it in the news my blood just boils and I am left dumfounded. What am I missing? Why is the police department so vehemently against De Blasio for nothing more than on the surface objecting to the mayor’s heartfelt words (about his mix raced son), his truth telling, unless they (THE NYPD) truly lack sensitivity to the challenges facing the black community? If that is not the case, why would they take offense to the mayor? But no, it does seem more complex and even uglier -- it is becoming apparent that this is a battle to discredit a liberal mayor by arch conservative Republicans who play dirty. NO, I am not saying all Republicans are bad - nor I am I saying that the NYPD is bad - but this deeply sickens and troubles me that it is being done in the name of reform and progress and in jeopardy of the #blacklivesmatter movement . If you think #bluelivesmatter and #BLACKLIVESMATTER than you must support the Mayor in his efforts of reform and progress.
