Every year I hear the same old speach about New Year New Me - TopicsExpress

Every year I hear the same old speach about New Year New Me Fitness goals and resolutions in general. I once followed the trend and made resolutions that I never even attempted to follow. Then one year it all changed in the blink of an eye! “I Made Up My Mind” and followed through with my dreams and admirations. I told myself I was going to be bigger, stronger, happier, wiser, and abundantly blessed from here on out. I woke up in my moms basement, got on instagram and facebook, annouced I was going to train people for free at a local park. That was my New Year New Me Fitness resolution and acting on it was my solution. I wanted to be a Personal Trainer and change lives. Most of all I desired to cultivate theirs minds, in other words change the way they thought about fitness. Lou Fitness was birthed and my life would never be the same again. According to the University of Scranton’s Journal of Clinical Psychology, only 8% of people will actually achieve their resolution. That means 92% of us fail to achieve our goals for the New Year. Why do we have so much trouble sticking to our goals? We could be setting the wrong goal. We can be too wrapped up in finishing the current year that we fail to think about our future. When it’s time to set next year’s goal, we haphazardly choose a goal that is generic, easy, or uninspiring. To make your goals stick in 2015, make your goals meaningful. Although we set goals year round, we save the big ones for a new year. Spend a few weeks thinking about your big goals. Ask yourself, “What does this goal mean to me?” and “Why am I choosing this goal?” Whether you are choosing a business goal, personal goal, or both, here are a few suggestions to make it stick in 2015. If you Don’t have a Changed Mind and put the plan you spoke into the atmosphere in motion, you are going to fail!!!! Point – Blank – Period!!!!!! How To Make Your New Year New Me Fitness Goal Or Any New Years Resolution Come True * Breakdown your goal into bite-sized chunks. Don’t just think of the long-term goal, think of short-term activities that will help you achieve the long-term goal. For example, to quit smoking for an entire year seems tough, but to quit for one week is easier. Setting smaller initial goals will keep you motivated and create positive momentum. You don’t have to achieve your 2015 goals in the first month. * Develop a plan to help you achieve your new goal. Planning does not have to be complex. To get started, ask yourself a few questions: What do I want to achieve this year? How am I going to achieve this goal? and What will I do this week to achieve this goal? * Finally, tell people about your goal. Telling your friends, family, or colleagues makes it real. People that are close to you want you to achieve your goals. They will challenge you and hold you accountable. * Write down your goals and put reminders everywhere. Hang your goals in your office, set your goals as your computer background. Remind yourself of your goals every day. Zig Ziglar said, “A goal properly set is halfway reached.” Before you spend time achieving a goal, make sure you have set the right goal. http:iamloufitness instagram/loufitness 314-896-1568 6255 Natural Bridge Rd.
