Every year I see Christians post references to, Its Friday, but Sundays coming. Dont get me wrong, I love that message. But I think if were not careful well miss the significance and necessity of Friday. Theres no resurrection without the crucifixion. Theres no life without death. Theres no victory without suffering and sacrifice. And in our own lives, there is no growth without pain. Character and integrity are shaped through adversity. We are made more like Christ through the things that show us that we are incapable of handling life on our own. So yes, Sunday is coming. But dont be so anxious to experience the victory that you miss the lessons and the benefits of what happens on Friday.
