Everybody Has the Right to Ask !! I called up a Sound chap to book him for a forthcoming show. He is not my regular sound chap.... so I asked him what set up he would give... On a bit of further technical questioning he Got so wild and upset, that he said I dont want to do your work I will tell the organiser politely... he added..... I had not even raised my voice.. dint even say anything to him.... was it my mistake to ask him what configuration he would get ?? He kept on saying he would not work... to which i dint reply in any harsh way... Kept my cool..... With a bit of tact and diplomacy this issue is sorted and he apologized to his high handed behaviour....( Now how i did it... that;s a secret ) he is getting a 3 way set up which i had desired..... But the topic is not over.... We as service providers have to be crystal clear as to what we are giving.... our client has all the right to ask what is he getting.... and any question asked by a client is not nonsense.... HE HAS THE RIGHT.... I always tell my medical students.... that the patients have the right to ask you... and its your duty to answer.... Now a days if I meet such arrogant people, I dont indulge in confrontations.... I dont want to spoil my sanity... but i just delete his number from my mobile and pray to god that pls give that gentleman Better Sense... People out of a False Ego ( ego is always false ), sometimes laziness, sometimes complacency.... tend to neglect or ignore client requirement.... I think its the beginning of their fall.... I love to people who are humble, sharp, learners... who answer any of your query... however small.... I tell my students... pls ask questions... it may be silly.... but you must ask.... I will answer all... without having any impression about you in my mind... Its our duty to answer.... every small query of the Client.
