Everybody wants to go to university but most will be wasting their time and money. A degree does provide an education (though to a large extent that will depend on which university is attended) but does not guarantee you a job. Too many will study law but there is a large surplus of law graduates – so they’re not needed in that market. Many will major in marketing – the same applies. Social science graduates do not fare much better.
