[At-Tirmidhī #2988, Ibn Ḥibbān #997; al-Albānī declared it’s chain ‘weak’ and al-Arnā’ūṭ declared the chain in Tafsīr aṭ-Ṭabarī as ‘authentic’, w’Allahu A’lam] Al-Qurtubī added: “…Indeed for the angels and the devil is a point of contact- meaning: in the heart…” [Tafsīr al-Qurtubī 7/186] Ibn `Aṭīyah said: “…And from these two points of contact are good and evil thoughts…” [al-Muharrar al-Wajīz 2/491]
