Everyday I get asked the question: Which solar powered generator can power my fridge? Answer: There is no straight answer to this question because there are a number of factors in play. How long should it power it? How much sunshine can it get in a day? How much power does your fridge consume? All of these need to be considered a factor in choosing a generator. Something else to consider is if you are going to invest in a generator capable of solar energy production you should consider how else you can charge it. Do you want the ability to charge it via your car? What about by outlet? So now that we have discussed all these basic issues to consider let me make a recommendation. I have a Goal Zero 31901 Yeti 1250 XX-Large Silent Generator and have been pleased with it. I am planning on getting a real full solar system installed on my property shortly but for now, this has served its purpose and I am quite pleased with its performance. Everyone has different needs and power requirements so it may not be right for everyone but this is a good place to start.
