Everyday I have so many of those moments where you look at your child and think Yup, theyre definitely MY child lol!! Tonight was no different. I was trying to get Jacob to eat his dinner, but he just wanted to pretend he was Tintin who had been shot by his enemies from France. After asking him over and over to come and eat, an idea popped into my head. I said Here Tintin, Im your nurse and Im going to feed you some healthy food to help you heal. Excited that I was playing along, Jacob ran over and took a big bite, while acting as if he was dying. He ate a few more bites, then looked at me and said Umm, this isnt quite right. Hold on... Then he started to push all of the kitchen chairs together. When he had finished, he ran to grab a pillow, set it on the chairs, then ran to get a strip of toilet paper. He came running back and said Ok, heres my bandage and this is now my hospital bed. Now you can act like a real nurse. I looked at him and was suddenly reminded of the times when I was younger and would pretend I was a Jew hiding from the Germans, or I was a black slave who was trying to escape to freedom with Harriet Tubman, or that I was a young orphan living in London during the 1800s and had to steal food and clothes to survive. I stood there watching Jacob and thought Well, at least he got my imagination I guess... Poor kid, hes screwed lol
