Everyday struggles of the remote populations hurts my heart each time Im on field trips and when flying and taking an aerial view of Koiari, Collingwood Bay, Amazon Bay, Taubadi, Chirima and Goilala communities. All Southerners in the Parliament should stand together, put away their party affiliations, and deliver basic services apart from establishing border developments where sparsely populated communities in remote locations can access better schools, police and health posts. We need to rehabilitate remote airstrips that can be serviced frequently by third level airlines ie Air Sanga, Adventist Aviation and Tropic Air. Overgrown cocoa and coffee plantations have to be revisited by DAL and recommissioned apart from empowering villagers to tap into padi rice and small crops. Please leaders, take a tour of your own districts/provinces, covering your district/provincial headquarters to the remotest locations and you will get the feel of what the people are going through.
