Everyday that you are breathing you have to make choices, even if it is the choice to sleep in or get up. I started Blog of a Running Girl because I am a very private person and I wanted a public place, away from my private FB that I could talk about my journey to get to NYC on my BD. Well.. here is the end of that journey. I have raised almost 800.00 for LIVESTRONG. I recieved a notice that if I could not raise the 3800 required, I could withdrawl or I could pay the difference. The agreement also said that once they registered me, I would have to pay 1000.00 even if I withdrew from the race. I looked at this and looked at this. Bottom line, in order to run NYC, I would have to come up with 3000 for the race (assuming I could not raise anymore money), 1000 for the hotel, about 300 for the flight, about 150 for food, and then what ever spending money. I have a lot on my plate right now. I had to let it go. I had to decide it was not worth the stress I was putting myself in. Do I think I failed? NOT! I raised almost 800 for a great charity. I learned a great deal about how hard this really is. I am proud of the fact I did that! So, in the end, D won.. I won by letting go. Will Blog continue? Not sure. I will have to decide that. In the mean time.. RUN!
