Everyone at Ace Photo would like to express our sorrow at the unfortunate situation facing our colleagues and fellow photographers at Calumet Photo. To see a 75 year old business facing such difficulties is not healthy for photographers in the Washington DC area or our industry as a whole. Some might assume we would be slapping high fives at this situation but they would be WRONG. Our 20+ years in the photo business was built by sharing our knowledge with everyone that walks through our door and by stocking every square inch of the store with best products we can find. It has never been about disparaging our fellow photo retailers. We all have families and responsibilities and we are ALL photographers who are passionate about creating art. We sincerely wish everyone in the Calumet organization and their families the very best under a difficult situation.
