Everyone can hate on the prequels as much as they want, but this song and the scene with it, while horribly choreographed, is one of my favorite scenes from any movie. I remember being in Calgary when Brenda took me and Kelly to see this in theaters and while I had seen the Original Star Wars movies previously, they held no where near as much excitement and fascination as this movie did. I can still remember the jumble of feelings and the rush of excitement I experienced the moment the blast doors opened to reveal Darth Maul standing there, the music flaring, and the Lightsabers activating. I hope with all my heart that the new Star Wars films hold true to the amazing legacy of musical scores that have graced this franchise.
