Everyone has their opinion - Im not knocking that. This is America... the Land of the Free and the Brave. But for someone to say I just wasnt personally affected by 9-11 shakes me to the very core. You may not have been in New York, or in Washington or even standing near that field in Pennsylvania, but to say you werent affected? This confuses me. It infuriates me. I would dare to say that over 98% of Americans have watched footage of the twin towers before they went down....watching people ... Americans ... fling themselves through the air in only what I can imagine was an attempt to have that last freedom in choosing what they thought was a better death. We have watched as those towers burned and eventually crashed to the ground. Maybe you didnt see it that day, but in the 13 years that followed, chances are you watched that. And in those 13 years, you have known at least ONE person that joined our military. Someone that gave up their video playing and mall cruising to bear arms and fight on a foreign land for YOU... for you to keep that freedom to say you werent personally affected.
