Everyone is celebrating the execution of Juan Carlos Chavez -- - TopicsExpress

Everyone is celebrating the execution of Juan Carlos Chavez -- except me. I have no interest in Mr. Chavez and accept he is a worthless horrible and dangerous human being. However he is still a human being nonetheless. So do we have the right to kill him? or more to the point does the wacky state of florida have the right to kill him? I would hate to have my life in the hands of the idiots who run this state and by applauding this execution I am agreeing that Florida should be able to do this. In the immortal words of Yale Law professor Charles Black -- it may well be that the law of god requires some people to be killed, yet the law of man will always be insufficient to determine who they should be. And if I may add to this the law of Florida should never be allowed to determine who should die. (have they heard of all the DNA exonerations in this state? oh yeah, a lot of them occured here.) nypost/2014/02/12/florida-man-executed-in-boys-rape-murder/?utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=NYP%20180%20Day%20Openers%20and%2030%20Day%20Signups&utm_campaign=NY%2520Post%2520Newsletter
