Everyone keeps asking what the personalised tattoo of X.L.X between me and Natalie means........ As you all know I was in the infantry a few years ago, I proudly served in a infantry battalion called THE GREEN HOWARDS!! The battalions trademark symbol is X.I.X it is on my cap badge in a picture below which means the 19th foot regiment that PRINCE ALEXANDER of Denmark formed in 1688. No matter where the battalion went we would carve X.I.X as our trademark, when ever Id write a letter or an email I would end it with my name and X.I.X at the bottom, where ever I went with the Infantry Id see the trademark X.I.X and I know SOLDIERS before my time were where I was also serving as British Soldier. As a INFANTRY SOLDIER your lifeline is your weapon (SA 80 Rifle) many of the most TOUGHEST times of my life were on OPERATIONAL TOURS in AFGHANISTAN where ever I was my weapon was always by my side well maintained, looked after ready at a moments notice (YOUR LIFE LINE). For me as a soldier I had a name for my weapon which was L (LUCY) I dont know if any other soldiers done this I didnt ask it was one of them things I kept to myself as being a soldier you didnt have much to your self. When I begun dating Natalie I found out that her mother called her Lucy as a baby and its stuck with her since. I told her the story about what I used to call my Rifle back in the infantry. As the weeks/months went by the first letter I wrote Natalie at the end of it I went to write my trademark X.I.X but instead I personalised it and put X.L.X it was perfect my trademark still their but with L (LUCY) for my Rifle and Natalie. As the months went by it was obvious that me and Natalie were forming into a serious relationship and we wanted to mark our body. You always see people getting KING QUEEN of HEARTS but we wanted something personal to us and no better way then to get a symbol that actually has so much meaning to it after all a tattoo is on your body for life. 99% of my tattoos have a true story behind then from incidents in my past and that is the way it will stay. We decided X.L.X was perfect no matter where Ill be in the world my infantry background X.I.X will always be a part of me, I used to have my weapon by my side through out and now in replacement its Natalie no matter where ill be ill always have our trademark on me, on a daily basis Id see it on my finger and now no matter where I go I will always have her by the side of me.
