Everyone likes a little fun on the job. Nothing like making a boring day a little exciting. And sometimes the excitement is unplanned. It just happens. I used to operate heavy equipment. Ran a Catapillar and Fiat Pan. One of the jobs I was on was located next to an elementary school. During recess, the kids came out close to the fence to watch what was going on. After dropping a load of dirt, I got in a hurry to get back for another load. As I went up a slight bank, and made a left turn to get settled for a push from a D9, the pan nose dived and the right rear of the pan went airborne. I thought Oh Sheee it, waiting for it to roll on over. I guess instinct kicked in and I gave the gas peddle an extra shove and regained control, getting it back on all fours. The guy on the dozer was laughing and pointing behind me. I looked back to see most kids with hands over their eyes, eyes buldging or mouths wide open. My stomach was still in my throat, heart was where the stomach used to be. That was the first time doing that, after that every day at recess if the boss wasnt watching Id do it on purpose just to see the kids reactions. As long as there was a Porta Potty close by too..
