Everyone wants a role model. But you cant be everyones role model, either. So, if you cant find one, and youre looking for one, be one for yourself. Be the person you believe you can be. We, the People, have become fragmented physically, and consciously. We apply so many labels to ourselves and try to live by standards that dont quite mesh with our inner selves. Some believe that you need to push yourself to your dreams by doing x, y, & z. However, if there ever were a formula for general success, we wouldnt be in this predicament. Truly, I look forward to the day that people do see and understand the inequities within our society...our everyday lives. And I look forward to the day where we can all stand, side by side, in camaraderie and fellowship--regardless of skin color, spirituality, religious ideals and beliefs, and lifestyle choices. Unfortunately, this day is not today. But, if we continue pushing ourselves towards doing what is right by all people, and not just any subset of people, we may see this day in our lifetimes. That is my wish. For forgiveness, tolerance, understanding, and compassion.
