Everyone wants nice clean chairs for their event. Unfortunately, - TopicsExpress

Everyone wants nice clean chairs for their event. Unfortunately, we are in a drought and EID has requested everyone to cut down on water usage by 30%, which is extremely difficult to do for a party rental company. As you can imagine, washing 3000 chairs can take 2-3 days of continuous water usage and in past years, we washed chairs about every 2-3 weeks. However, with the water usage restrictions, we are asking for customers to help in our effort to keep the chairs clean for the next customer. A few ways to help~ 1. Dont allow guests to stand on chairs or use chairs to elevate feet. Scuffs from shoes are the most difficult to remove. Nobody wants black scuffs on the seats of their chairs. (and we cant see scuffs to the seats when they are stacked) 2. If someone spills something, wipe it up immediately. If its sticky, please use water if a cleaning product isnt available. When stacking chairs, separate those that are dirty so they dont get lost between clean chairs. (and so they dont dirty the clean chairs) We usually grab 5-10 chairs at a time so if there are dirty ones mixed in, they can be missed. ~we dont charge a fee if they get dirty, we just want to keep the dirty ones from ending up in the next wedding or event as that can be very upsetting. 3. Remove ribbons, tape, name tags, etc. from chairs before stacking them. 4. When transporting chairs yourself, bring a blanket, sheet or cardboard to put under them. The scuff marks from a black bed liner is as difficult to remove as the scuff marks from shoes. Please clean the truck bed of rocks/gravel, tools, oily/greasy items, etc. 5. Make sure whoever is stacking/handling the chairs has clean hands. Grabbing chairs with dirty/greasy hands will leave unsightly markings. We are hoping for lots of rain this winter so we can see an end to the drought and water rationing but we apologize if anyone gets chairs that arent as clean as wed like. We try to weed out the scuffed & dirty ones so they dont go out to the next event. (this is why it helps much more if they can be sorted upon return and helps us separate dirty ones from going to the next event.) Thank you ~ Sharon
