Everyone welcome Lillian to the madhouse.... The purpose of this group is many fold.... First, to serve the need of our fellow man, to help keep those in need warm because its something we can do to help. Even if it takes you years to make a scarf for donation, thats one more person who has something to help them through that winter. It does not matter what group or groups you want to donate to, Veterans, Active Duty Troupes, Homeless Shelters, Domestic Violence Shelters, Childrens groups, what ever charity you donate to is good. The notion isnt to start a new charity and further divide the resources of the country, but to be a support and encouragement group for those of us who are wanting to do something to help, but maybe dont know what or how. Please post about what you make, what grabs your interest, what groups are out there, either local to you or nationwide, or even world wide. I want to support all of them, but I can only do so much myself. Mostly what I can do is encourage other people to do a little something too. Second, the idea is to help you de-stash all that yarn that you will/have ended up with because people mysteriously dump yarn on you, and when you go to yard sales, that tote full of yarn for $5 is hard to pass up.... So welcome to the mad house, post away and feel free to invite anyone who you know, that you think would be down for doing this sort of thing....
