Everything comes with a cost. It is written that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)…and it is also written that the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23) People may think sin is pleasant, but what happens when it comes time to pay the cost? What does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul? (Luke 9:25) The path of sin leads to destruction, eternal separation from God. But the debt of sin was a debt no man could ever pay. Jesus came to pay off the debt He did not owe. He paid off the debt no man could ever pay. It is only through the Cross of Calvary and what Jesus did there that mankind is free to enter the throne room of God, something He could never do before because of his sin debt. Because of Jesus we have liberty! That is something to get excited about! Amen! He paid the debt He did not owe, I had a debt I could not pay, I needed someone, To wash my sins away. And now I sing a brand new song, “Amazing grace” all day long, Christ Jesus paid the debt, That I could never pay.
