Everywhere throughout the UK, there are new hospitals being built. Some are being built next door to existing hospitals, then the old hospitals are demolished and small housing estates developed there. In a large number of areas, Liverpool to cite one, hospitals are being built adjacent to existing hospitals, Liverpool Royal, a concrete eyesore, is being replaced with another concrete eyesore. Alder Hey childrens hospital is being re-built in Alder Park, next door to the original hospital, when the new hospital is built the old will be demolished and a park will be laid there ??, bet it ends up as a housing estate.. Where is the money coming from?? why do the new hospitals belong to private contractors, who rent them back to the NHS ?? How long will it be before Sodexo, G4e, Acapo and all the others with a foot in the door start to supply not just catering, portering, car parking, security and cleaning staff, but doctors and nurses too ???
