Exactly 25 years ago today I moved into Manhattan with 33 bucks in my pocket and although I had no support from my family the people Ive met along my path who I consider my real family helped me make this all possible. Heres what I call the readers digest version of the past 25 years, stay tuned for the next 25! Ok heres the readers digest version, moved to Manhattan spring of 89 with 33 bucks in my pocket, started as a street musician in Washington Square park, got scouted by Elite models, modeled for 15 minutes, met actor Mickey Rourke while working as a doorman in NYC, moved to South Beach Miami in 91 DJed and doorman at 2 clubs for him. The Spot and Mickeys where I was the opening night DJ as well. Opening night DJ at Rebar, Union Bar, Sinatra Bar, spun at Parragon, Whisky bar, Van Dome, Lebain and Amnesia. Opening week DJ for Johnny Depps Viper room in L.A. Met director Brett Ratner in Miami in 93 and worked with him in production93-95, moved back to NYC in 94, DJed at Nells, Palladium, MKs, Club USA, Rouge, CBGBs, Kit Kat Klub, Sapphire, Tunnel, Roxy too many to list. DJed Atlanta Olympics in 96, Manager of Brad Johns salon in Takashimia building in 96, produced Victorias Secret launch of Angels in 97, lived in Tokyo Japan from 98-04, in 04 worked with Arturo Vega the artistic director of The Ramones, asked to MC and provide sound for Joey Ramone street dedication as well DJed for all Ramones related film and benefit events. Made 2 films SHAKEDOWN a New York International film festival short film category winner 2001 and THE MEMORIALS an official selection to the permanent collection at the 9/11 Memorial Museum. Actor in 5 films, produced 2 records. DJed at Snitch nightclub owned by Velvet Revolver in 04, live sound engineer, Manager till 06. Went back to Miami in 05 after a 10 year hiatus and spun at Automatic Slims, Buck 15 as well as Tommy Lees Rok bar. Yada yada yada. Currently own a Home Theater Audio Video design company in New York City. P.S. Still crazy after all these years! LOL
