Exactly 42 years ago, Cleveland Disc Jockey Mike Kelly begins his world record setting ride of 21 days and 4 hours on the Giant Wheel. He was allowed 15 minutes a day for personal needs. For his accomplishment, he was awarded an all expenses paid trip to Jamaica for his family. The event was sponsored by WIXY Radio in Cleveland. Cleveland City Councilman Dennis Kucinich was on hand to present Mike with a letter of greeting from Mayor Ralph Perk.
