Exactly a year ago today, Nate and I started our amazing second chance together. Granted, we didnt start dating for another couple of months after that, but we found our ways back to each other all the same. The adventure of a lifetime. All because our sisters were playing at the Palace of Auburn Hills together and we both were there to support them. Hard to believe that was only a year ago because it feels as though Nate has always been mine. And its even harder to believe that I dont get to smile and laugh with him about that unexpected weekend together. I dont get to tell him how much fun I had with him, Aunt Tania and his Nana again. Or how cute his face was when my mom bought him another can of chew. Or how he made me feel that night when we were talking and he kissed me mid-sentence. Or all of the other memories we shared. From that weekend on, I knew with absolute certainty that we were meant to be together. It was always supposed to be the two of us; time just wasnt ready for us the first time. It was always him. Nate, I cannot put into words how much you have changed my life. Today, I remember where our adventure began. And I will do so with a smile on my face because every day since that weekend, you have been the reason for my smile. And even though youre gone, youre still the reason I find myself smiling or laughing because everything I do leads me to the memories of you. Even death could never tear us apart. Stay close to me, my love. I love you so much. I miss you♡
