Exactly one year ago today, two days before my birthday, about an hour from now, I received the worst Skype call of my life. Looking down at the iPad & seeing my sister calling, I already knew what she was going to tell me. My Grandma, the love of my life, the woman who raised me, had died. As this year has unfolded, and since Ive been home, I held onto a guilt that I should have been here. Today I let go of that guilt because I knew my Grandma wanted me to go to London, travel to Greece, and enjoy life. Today I remember the most beautiful, fun loving, strong, fiesty, sharp, caring, selfless person I have ever known. I truly believe she helped me get through everything, and helped me meet an amazing man, who allows me to be me, never having to pretend to be something Im not, and more importantly loves me for me. Shed be happy. I know shell always be watching over me and helping me through everything, just like when she was here. What I would give to just talk to you for five minutes...
