Exactly one year ago today, we were somewhere in between calling almost everyone we knew and frantically telling them our devastating news, and walking into the oncology unit at primary childrens. I have so much I want to write and put out there tonight. But until I can really get my thoughts together I want to say the two words that stick out most in my mind when I think about this past year and as I relive every experience. They are - blessed and positive. This hasnt, yeah I said hasnt been a year filled of heartbreak and why mes. Its been a year of blessings, after blessings, after blessings. My family has been so blessed because of so many caring people and a caring and serious loving Heavenly Father. This year will forever go down as one of the most blessed years of my life. What we have gone through has been a blessed experience. And because we have been taken care of by so many, we have been able to keep one of our first goals, which was to stay positive. Im so thankful for a wise and positive and incredible guy, that said from not only day one, but hour one, when I asked, through swollen eyes and a broken heart -how are we going to do this, said we are going to be positive. And oh my, that has made all the difference. Isnt it funny that the same experience can go from a horrible, devastating , heartbreaking experience to a joyful and blessed experience all from a change of attitude and a choice to try and be positive. There is power is positivity. Thank you, so much, for being there for us this past year. This burden has seriously been lifted because of the support and prayers that have been given in our behalf. Thank you for making this past year a blessed year for my little family! Ps. Can you believe all this little man has been through in ONE year?! What a stud and What a hero. Im so happy one year later he is up past his bedtime watching a movie with his sisters!!
