Excellent description of the process animal behaviour consultants work through when working on behaviour changes. This big picture approach focuses not firstly on changing the behaviour in question, but first providing the right environment for the desired behaviour to occur and ruling out any physiological causes of behaviour. For all Parrot Life clients we always work through environment, health and diet in a consultation before moving onto any training. The flow chart shows the heirachy of the thought process, you should never need to get to the punishment end of the chart.
