The ones who understand that south India comprises of five states (Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala, in case you were wondering) and those who insist on clubbing the states down south into one common entity called Madrasi. Many may find this difficult to believe, some might even have to Google this up, but it is a truth universally acknowledged that there ARE in fact five states AND four languages down south, not counting the umpteen local dialects. A video explaining this, South of India by Enna Da Rascalas in collaboration with Culture Machine, was posted on YouTube and is garnering interest on the web. Made to the tune of Billy Joels We Didnt Start the Fire, South of India is as relevant as it is catchy. The video has four contributors representing different states and telling you just why it is not okay to call every south Indian Madrasi. Fed up of being repeatedly clubbed together, spoofed and stereotyped in life and in films (remember 2 States and SRKs Chennai Express?), they decided to make a video about it and it is fabulous. from NDTV
