Excited that my amazingly brave daughter, Mackenzie is participating in her first Artificial Pancreas trial at UVA this weekend (started at 6 AM today!). I am so very proud of her and all that she is doing to help make life better for the millions who struggle with Type 1 Diabetes. Only a few dozen teens have helped by participating in Artificial Pancreas clinical trials. Grateful that Mackenzie is willing to do this. Cant wait to hear all about her experience and see the results. The device is getting more and more advanced! Thank you JDRF for making it possible... I am so appreciative for all the work JDRF does, and having Mackenzie participate in this JDRF trial makes the progress even more tangable.
