Excitement of the night...cleaning the elevator...of course there is no outlet close by so I prop open the stairwell door and use the outlet there to plug in my trusty vaccume. So there I am...vaccuming the elevator and spot some dirt in the corner. Head over there thinking I can suck it up quickly with the hose before the elevator door closes. The voice inside my head not a good idea lol! I do it anyway. The elevator door closes. I quickly dash to the buttons, leaving the vaccume running. To my surprise the 2nd floor and basement buttons were pushed. Me and the vacume were going for a ride, and Im about to have a heart attack! Sure the cord would never reach, sure that the vacume was doomed...sure I was going to have to explain this to my boss! Thinking how BAD it was going to be, the door opened on the second level. Whew! The cord reached... now back down to the 1st floor. Pulled the extra cord out of the crack in the floor to the elevator shaft. With a huge sigh of relief the vaccume was ok. A miracle!! How did those buttons get pushed? A mystery....
