Excuse the somewhat off, off topic, but I got so excited by Jeff Frankels find of his old Mothers Cafe t-shirt that my mind segued to all the funk of the 70s past, and I thought of the Holy Modal Rounders, a fun group who used to gig sometimes with the Grateful Dead. In search of their Youtubed :) music, Ive come across a somewhat bad but nonetheless enjoyable clip of their 1972 concert in Amsterdams Vondelpark, which is not too far from where I presently and momentarily work part-time.... :) Vondelpark has a riotous reputation of its time, parallel to Boulders own that Hill folk will remember fondly. And who remembers this group? Or other like funk bands touring Boulder off and on at the time? youtu.be/6kolPMI98NQ
