Exodus 26:33 Hang the inner curtain from clasps, and put the Ark of the Covenant in the room behind it. This curtain will separate the Holy Place from the Most Holy Place. That veil. The very same veil that was split the moment of Jesus death. I would have loved to have seen that scene in the spiritual realm. The Holy Spirit grabbing hold of it and tearing it down the middle. Shouting out loud NO MORE SEPARATION...YOU NOW HAVE FREE ACCESS TO GOD!!! Now we can draw near, now we can operate in His presence, now we have His Spirit dwelling inside of us. That veil was no longer necessary to divide our sinfulness and Gods holiness. Hebrews 10 says it like this And so, dear brothers and sisters, we can boldly enter heaven’s Most Holy Place because of the blood of Jesus. By his death, Jesus opened a new and life-giving way through the curtain into the Most Holy Place. And since we have a great High Priest who rules over God’s house, let us go right into the presence of God with sincere hearts fully trusting him. For our guilty consciences have been sprinkled with Christ’s blood to make us clean, and our bodies have been washed with pure water. If I may take it a step further. This new way of living, this full and abundant and intimate life with God that was opened up as Jesus flesh was torn on the cross. This life is really only available to us when we too have chosen the cross, shame and death, crucifying our dreams and wants and desires, it is only at the end of self that we find that intimacy. The sacrifice is still necessary for us to enter in. So how are you going to interact? Will you just stare at the torn veil and rejoice in the fact that you now have access...but never enter in? Or will you boldly enter in, running right into His presence with a sincere fully trusting heart? the choice is yours!
