Exodus: Gods and Kings have a lot of biblical errors. Here are some biblical truths to correct the movie. 1.) Moses is a coward. He does not believe in himself. He is a bad speaker. (Exodus 6:30, Exodus 4:10) 2.) Moses brother, Aaron, came with him to Egypt. He became Moses spokesperson because of his impaired speech and bad leadership skills. (Exodus 4,7) 3.) Moses wife and SONS came with him back to Egypt. (Exodus 4) 4.) The plagues that were shown in the movie were not in order. Here is the order of the plagues. (Blood - Frogs - Gnats - Flies - Livestock - Boils - Hail - Locusts - Darkness - Death of First born) (Exodus 7-11) 5.) The Plague of the Blood was not because of the crocodiles as depicted in the movie, but because of Moses staff. (Exodus 7:14-25) 6.) ONLY THE EGYPTIANS suffered the Plagues. The Israelites were not affected. (Exodus 7-11) 7.) The Red Sea did not dry up as depicted in the movie. The Red Sea really did part while Israel walked through the middle of the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side. (Exodus 14:22) Moses had the authority to part it. He parted it. Therefore, Moses is the first water-bender ever recorded in history. (Lols) (Exodus 14:26, Exodus 14:16) I swear. The movie wouldve been a whole lot cooler and more bad ass if the movie director really did follow the events as it was written. Theres more action if you read the book of Exodus. Like, seriously, MORE. ACTION. Intense. Drama. Power. I am obsessed.
