Experienced Software Developer - Electronic Order Routing Team Job (New York, NY, USA): Job Requisition Number:43340 The Role: Bloomberg Electronic Order Routing (EOR) team is currently looking for an experienced software developer to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment, where their contributions to the team make a direct impact on the product and the global market. Bloomberg Electronic Order Routing System is one of the the worlds largest broker networks. Buy-side firms across the globe leverage the EMSX application daily in order to reach over 2000+ multi asset brokers. The EOR group is currently executing on one of our business initiatives designed to solidify our presence globally in the world of low latency trading. The goal is to launch the EOR system on the proximity sites which are located adjacent to the brokers data centers and integrate it with the current infrastructure that runs in NY/NJ data centers. This will benefit our clients abroad by eliminating any lag created by distance for traffic traversing between NY/NJ and either buy-side PCs or sell-side hosts. This is a rare opportunity to join the team of developers at the heart of propelling the relevance of our Bloomberg Electronic Order Routing product, as it continues to lead the way in industry its algorithmic and low latency trading product. The successful candidate will play a key role in building low-latency, high capacity and error-free multi asset routing applications to continue to maintain Bloombergs leading position in algo and low latency trading. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in multi threading, relational database systems, C/C++ and associated debuggers. Strong written and oral communication as the applicant will frequently be interacting with the business and sales teams to achieve strategic business goals.
