Experiment: Post a photo on a social network on Friday in the - TopicsExpress

Experiment: Post a photo on a social network on Friday in the afternoon and wait and see how many likes it gets and when those likes come. Hypothesis: 2 or 3 likes will come in the first minute followed by a minimal amount of like per minute until after midnight where 2/3 of the the photos total likes come between 12:00 AM and 2:00 AM. Results: The results confirmed the hypothesis. Which begs the question? Why? My hypothesis is that because our world structured to the point that time has meaning that people feel value in returning home from social events simply because a clock reads a particular time regardless of pending obligations (most people dont need to get up early on Saturday mornings). Once home people persist the routine that they have been living which is to check their social networks just before feeling satisfied enough to go to sleep. P.S. Ive considered scenarios where people may already be with friends at a late hour and still feel the need to check their Facebook or get in tinder, which is sad because they must still feel alone. But aside from that tangent I bet that I can guess which of my friends have been out to play tonight from the time they liked my photo. I dont know why this intrigues me so much?
