Expression of interest for PhD and Post-doc positions in control of underwater vehicle-manipulator systems @ ISME, Italy. ISME (isme.unige.it) will soon open Phd and post-doc positions for two of its locations: - Cassino, Italy at the University of Cassino and Southern Lazio - Lecce, Italy at the University of Salento The ideal candidate owns (part) of the following technical skills/background: - Robotics at large; - Experimental background; - Control engineering; - Programming; - Robot redundancy theory; - Underwater robotics. and: - Capability to work both in team and in autonomy; - Working with deadlines; - Writing technical papers and reports; - Availability to travel. The successful candidates will own a responsibility proportional to his skills within the European project DexROV starting in 2015 with a 3.5 years duration and briefly described below. In the location of Cassino, she/he will mainly work in task-priority redundant control for underwater vehicle-manipulator systems with possible interaction with the environment under the guidance of prof. Antonelli. In the location of Lecce, she/he will mainly work on the design and implementation of Navigation, Guidance and Control systems for an underwater Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) under the guidance of prof. Indiveri.
