Extension of Day 30. I seen someone post a testimony for the last day of the challenge I loved the idea so I am going to post some we wrote recently not how we met Christ but on the move here and this past year what we were going through and how God guided us step by step with everything! I will start with the one I wrote. (the move from Ks to Or) Allen lost his job and was getting unemployment with everything quickly crumbling in Ks. We felt the need to go ahead and start somewhere new. The Lord directed us to Oregon. July 5th 2012 Allen hopped on a greyhound bus to take him to Portland. Two days later he arrived. He walked to Tillamook(over 70 miles away) not knowing of the busses and wasnt sure where he was going but once he got here he loved it and wanted to stay and then he got 3 different job offers. So back in Ks I was houses sitting for 2 weeks for His stepdad. I wanted to stay in Ulysses until I was ready to move and prayed and received a yes once they got home. I cont. to pray and believe this was the Lords will for us and wanted it to work. The verse that got me through was. Mark 11:22-24 So Jesus answered and said to them. Have faith in God for assuredly I say to you whoever says to this mountain be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart but believes that those things he says will be done he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you whatever things you ask when you pray believe that you will receive them and you will have them. With that said I knew if it was the Lords will it would happen. Allen and I agreed Sept 5th to get the plan tickets but God had a better closer date in mind. We needed our car to sell to get the plane tickets but it wasnt selling with the date getting closer and plane tickets getting hirer each day. I asked someone if I could borrow the money but they said no. That night was one of the hardest for me so I turned to praying more than usual. As I was searching for tickets I was directed to a closer date Aug 22 and found tickets for 185.00 a piece the rest of the days were 425 a piece. Which was 9 days away. I prayed if this was Gods will he would make a way. The next morning I got a call saying he changed his mind and would lend us the money. Now Allen had a job but we werent completely set on a place so it was a giant leap of faith for us but I knew God was behind us ahead of us and with us on this move. We arrived Aug 22nd and had a tent site reserved for 9 days. We were told we were at the top of the list for apartment but it would not be ready until the first. A couple of nights before we had to leave the site we found out that they gave the apt to someone else. Allen was directed on our leave date for the tent site to a motel on his way to a different hotel. He talked to the owner and he said he had weekly apartments he would rent. When Allen told me the news I cried for joy we now had another 9 days of a place to stay including the 2 nights we stayed in a room until the apt was ready. It did take the rest of our money though. God brought us someone to buy us food and screening fees for another apartment. We ended up getting accepted but couldnt move in for another week after our move out date for the weekly apts. God sent another person who offered a camper to stay in until we could move into our home. The site was also paid for again I cried for joy. A week without a place to stay or money doesnt seem long but I didnt want that for our daughter so it was a huge blessing. A lot of details were left out to shorten this but the main parts were included there were many other blessing the Lord sent to us at this time. I also left out names of all those the Lord used to help us for their reward will be in Heaven but we are truly thankful for everything and everyone that God used to help us in our time of need. That journey grown me closer to God it strenthed my faith. I would of never been able to do to have any of that/this without Gods help. May all the glory and praise go to Him. He is truly amazing through the good and the bad. Praise Jesus. Allens testimony he wrote about this past year. Here in Or things were going well with my job at the cheese factory and was really felling good about the new life God blessed us with. Then I suppose I got complacent and stopped going to church and seeking God. I started leaning on my own understanding doing what I wanted and forgot what God had done for me. Things quickly fell apart. I lost my job at the factory was having troubles and suffered a big defeat losing the belt which set my mma career back. After all this I finally realized that when you take God out of your life and stop giving him the credit. God may decided to knock you down off your self made pedestal. Like Job said the Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. I read sin is like a weed in your garden it only grows when you water it.(by listening to the wrong kind of talk watching bad videos gossiping, ect. any kind of sin.) if you quit watering that weed it will eventually die. Instead water your soul with the word of God, prayer and Godly conversations. SO I repented of my sins and I sought the will of God and said ok Im ready to listen. Thats when things began to turn around. I had been out of work for a while and was about to lose everything. So my job search became frantic. One day I was walking into town and was praying for work and a man suddenly pulled over and offered me a job for a couple days. I was so happy not just for the opportunity to make a little money but that God really cared about me that much. A week later I was hired at the saw mill. I praise God that he answers prayer and forgives. I have to remind myself every day that all I have comes from the Lord. I am also thankful for everything and everyone the Lord sent to help us. Matthew 25:31 “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. 32 All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. 33 And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. 34 Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: 35 for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; 36 I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’ 37 “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? 38 When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? 39 Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ 40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’
