“Eyesights 2014”, Guild of Creative Art’s 11th Annual Open Juried Photography Show Award Winners Announced! Show dates March 1 – April 2, 2014 Robert and Elisabeth McKay, professional photographers and owners of McKay Imaging, Photography Studio and Gallery in Red Bank, faced a true challenge selecting winners of this extraordinary exhibit. Best in Show went to Darlene Foster for “The Treasure Chest”. The Judges comment: “The perfect blend of beautiful photographs, innovation, mastery of technology and rich printing. This image uses photography as a medium to invite the viewer into the artist’s dreams” Best in Color: Russ Meseroll for “Coral Sunset”. “A moment in time, captured thoughtfully and printed with integrity. This photo takes what we all know as an ordinary scene, and propels it into the realm of the extraordinary”. Best in Monochrome: Marilyn Baldi for “City Center“. The harsh lines of an urban landscape converge here in a sort of visual poetry. Here photography and the artist recognize the aesthetic achievements of the sciences”. Honorable mentions were awarded to: Rich Despins, Mary Fenton, Jean Finnila, Kah-Wai Lin, Frank Parisi, Rob Reilly, Mark Schwartz and Robert Siliato. The Guild of Creative Art Award for Artistic Innovation went to Audrey Vasey; the Animals Award to Angelo Tuzzolino; the Botanical Award to Vince Matulewich; the Landscape Award to Colin Seitz; Macro to Jim Jennings; People Award to Michael Menendez; Places Award to Michael Hynes and Still Life Award to Patricia Anton. The Al Goldstein Memorial Award was presented to Eric Williams by Barbara Goldstein and donated by “Frame to Please” in Red Bank.
