#F1 Fernando Alonso said Ferrari did not maximise its chances in qualifying for the Russian Grand Prix and the car simply is not quick enough this weekend. Fernando Alonso: It was a strange qualifying and a strange day, The car felt good and well set up and we didnt change the set-up massively or suffer from oversteer or understeer - the car felt good, but obviously we are not quick enough. There are guys out there one second quicker than us and this is not good. At the last couple of races we were a little bit more comfortable, and in Singapore and Suzuka we were more competitive than what we have been today. We need to look at the reasons and try to improve for tomorrow. Traction was not an issue for us this weekend, and in fact there is only one corner with traction, which is the last corner. The onus is on just keeping the minimum speed as high as you can in these 90 degree corners. Maybe we lack a little bit of speed in the straight and maybe we lack a little bit of braking stability for some of these corners. It will be a difficult race because I guess overtaking will be very hard on this circuit. The strategy of the tyres, we know they are extremely hard tyres, so we can do a lot of laps with them without big degradation, so that will probably push us to not many stops. The pit lane speed limit has changed today from 80km/h to 60km/h so that will favour the minimum stops possible. Well see and there is also some other possibilities in the race. The start is crucial because that can define, more or less, the race in a way. There is the longest distance from the start to the first braking of the season, so probably the start is more important than ever.
