#F1 Lewis Hamilton believes McLaren look closer to Mercedes than they have done all year at this weekends Russian Grand Prix. Lewis Hamilton: They had a great race in the last race, their pace was looking really good, especially with Jenson, I dont know if they have made a step this weekend but they are looking good. But well see how it is as the weekend progresses. I think its been good, I feel comfortable on the new circuits and learning them. Its a new skill you have to learn quite quickly, but its the same for everyone. The cars been feeling really good today, the McLarens are obviously very close, which is good for everyone and having a race. The track is getting grippier and grippier and rubbering in quite a lot and theres a nice flow you can get on this track. The car is performing fantastically well. We got a good balance today and there are a lot of ticks on the boxes and we got quite a good balance today. Weve got some challengers behind, so that will hopefully make it more exciting for the fans. The whole track is fun to drive, but Turn 3 is full gas and flat out. Its not a huge challenge because you can take an easy line through there, and when you are going into it you are thinking about the next corner and the position for the next one.
