*FAA Summer Scholarship Winner. Guillermo Pérez Rodríguez from Spain. Jurys Comment: Guillermos figure studies are both a representation of real life and a personal interpretation of her subjects. The portraits are accurate yet sensitively rendered. They possess an emotive quality that allows the viewer insight into the sitters character. Guillermo Pérez Rodríguez will receive a place in the workshop of her choice during Summer Session 2014, guided museum visits to the Uffizi, Accademia, Bargello and Pitti Palace, and accommodations in Florence. We congratulate her and look forward to her joining the Florence Academy this summer.
