FACE TO FACE WITH THE GOD OF MERCY SERIES PART 21 Prepared by Pastor Charles Chanda: Lusaka, Zambia MERCY FOR OVERCOMING UNFAIR CHALLENGES IN PERILOUS TIMES 2 Timothy 3:1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. Daniel 2:12-18 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. 13 And the decree went forth that the wise men should be slain; and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain. 14 Then Daniel answered with counsel and wisdom to Arioch the captain of the kings guard, which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon: 15 He answered and said to Arioch the kings captain, Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Arioch made the thing known to Daniel. 16 Then Daniel went in, and desired of the king that he would give him time, and that he would shew the king the interpretation. 17 Then Daniel went to his house, and made the thing known to Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah, his companions: 18 That they would desire mercies of the God of heaven concerning this secret; that Daniel and his fellows should not perish with the rest of the wise men of Babylon. This is a prophetic message for all those living in these last days and taking heed to its contents will not only do us good but will help us not to miss the rapture. It’s my prayer that the Spirit of God will speak to you and me in Jesus Name. Nebchardnezer had a dream and he forgot that dream. He demanded that people tell him the forgotten dream and the interpretation something which according to the wise men could only be requested by a mad person. The fact that Nebchardnezer forgot the dream was not a fault of anyone but see his reaction when his own people whom he had appointed as wise men failed to tell him. This should be a lesson to all political leaders in both the ruling and opposition parties that you never push aside the people of God and their God because a time will come when all those you have put in positions of authority will fail. You cannot rule without God no matter which country you are in. • Pharaoh realized early that a kingdom with God’s servants cannot survive moments of famine • King Saul learnt the hard way that you cannot have a kingdom without a young David to help you cast out evil spirits that will trouble you • Nebchchardnezer learnt that you never deal wickedly with God’s chosen servants • Abimelech also was taught a lesson that you don’t grab the properties of God’s prophets as this can make your kingdom to be sick. I appeal to all political heads of various whom I am privileged to have as friends and reading these messages that they must accommodate God and their period of reign will be successful in Jesus Name. A few months ago one of my morning devotional message was read by the speaker of Parliament in one African country as they started the daily session for that particular day. I pray that God will speak to every soul in Jesus Name. The king made a decree that day to have all the wise men including Daniel and his three friends who unfortunately were not given an opportunity killed for failing the king. Daniel knew that this needed the mercy of God and brothers and sisters we are need this mercy no matter our level of spirituality. Think of holy and faithful Daniel who was threatened with imminent death for a faulty that was not his own making. Let us not be careless thinking that we are innocent and things will just happen automatically. We need to pray for situations around us. Those of you in SADC are you aware that Botswana is now closing the door for missionaries from outside and some have already been deported. It has reached a point where secret lives of ministers are been unearthed and put in the media. We are leaving in the last days and we need to arise as the army of God begin to seek God for mercies to live in the perilous times. Do you think this Ebola is an ordinary sickness? Just see how people are being restricted from travelling. Jesus said there will be pestilences in the last days and you better wake up child of God. The trumpet will soon sound. Let us arise as the church of Christ and use every opportunity to preach the gospel. Those of us using the social media let us take advantage and use it to reach souls with the everlasting truth. I have managed to reach close to three million people in just one month and eight months. God has given me such favour that the truth that is been published has been accepted by over one and ten countries. The harvest is ripe and we must arise and preach the gospel. THE CHANGING WORLD WILL NEVER BE A FRIEND TO GRACE! Daniel 2:12 For this cause the king was angry and very furious, and commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. You better not underestimate the great influence that the political world has on the general lives of the world in the whole world. This is why Christians are admonished to pray for the peace of the nations. You and I know how difficult it is for a Christian to be a president without compromising his Christian stand. Now just think of a pastor called by God giving up his divine appointment to pursue the political office. You can never justify this. Are you going to love your enemies the way the Bible wants you to do it? How many members of the opposition parties do you see in the cabinets of ruling parties and yet we have excellent people in the opposition who can help but the rule of the game is clear your enemies. So as Christians let us do our part which is to pray for everyone and we will gain the mercies of God that we so much need. The king was angry and the whole nation was shaken. May God help us I Jesus Name. MERCY IS AVILABLE FOR US! No matter the changing conditions around, God’s mercy is available for you and me. Let us be people that will always learn to seek God. Lamentations 3:22 It is of the Lords mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. LET US PRAY! Father we come to you seeking for your mercies in these perilous times. Help us in our various nations that all the unfair and unfavorable laws will not affect us in Jesus Name. Save us dear Lord in Jesus Name. Thank you Lord for the answer. In Jesus name I pray
