FACEBOOK MYTHS DISPELLED! Sorry folks, posting a status on Facebook about copyrights and whatnot is utter nonsense and has no legal credibility whatsoever. That would be akin to me saying, If I steal something, I hearby give notice that the police are not allowed to arrest me. Just because you post something as a status, doesnt make it legally binding. Secondly, if you want to post a picture on social media (and have it set to something other then private) then of course it can be used.. Its in the public domain quite clearly and if you have posted it there then thats your choice. Furthermore if you didnt want private pictures on the internet, dont put them there Oh and when did your Facebook profile become yours? Think you will find it is owned by Facebook, the guys and girls you signed up to. Remember when you read through all the small print? Or did you just merely accept those terms and conditions? ;)
