FACTS TO CONSIDER 4 BALLON DOR AWARDS DEBATE After FIFA announced nominees 4 Ballon dor award, it is undrstndble that people r gonna debate about it and even predict winners. I there4 think it i important to consider the facts below: 1) In 1998 Zidane won it mainly after his goals in word cup final. He was Uefa CL runner up . He won the league with Juve. 2) In Beckham won Uefa CL, FA cup and FA PL trebble but Rivaldo who only won La Liga was the winner. 3) In 2002, Ronaldos season at Inter prior to world cup was plugged by injuries, but his world cup heroics landed him FIFA plyr of the year. 4) In 2004, Fc Porto won Uefa CL, Portogues league and cup trebble, however Ronaldihno who didnt win either La Liga, Uefa competition or any top goal scorer award was the winner. 5) In 2006, Fabio Cannavarro hadnt won anythng beside wrld cup and he was voted the winner. 6) Sneijder won Uefa CL, Serie A, Italian cup and was word cup runner up but Messi who failed at world cup and was La Liga winner, Uefa CL top goal scorer and La Liga top goal scorer, Europen golden boot winner scooped th award. 7) In 2013, Ribery won Bundesliga, German cup n Uefa CL was outvoted by Ronaldo who didnt win any trophy or any Uefa personal award beside leading Portugal to world cup via play offs. 8) Blatter doesnt select or hand pick the winner.
