FAI Cup Semi Final weekend is upon us. St Pats vs Finn Harps and Shamrock Rovers vs Derry City both this coming Sunday! So what happens if disaster strikes and your team is on the brink of going out at the weekend losing by say 4-0 heading into the final ten minutes??? Well if ye throw back to 1974 and take a leaf from Athlone Town goalkeeper Mick OBriens book one option might be to break the crossbar to try have the game abandoned. And what if the first break fails......break it again! Unfortunately the ref was having none of it and sent Mick off. Finn Harps went on to win that Semi Final and then the final itself, while Mick was left with a suspension following his red card.
