FAITH IN ACTION Tenacity Another great quality of people who put their faith in action is tenacity. It is the resolve to remain true to your ideal until it becomes a reality in your life. I am generally a good starter but a woefully bad finisher of whatever venture I enter. I start excitedly well with a project and gradually my skin fades out. I declare to someone that we will do something only to have my interest evaporate into thin air. But I realized that if I really want to become who God made me to be and offer my very offer my best, I have to develop the spirit of tenacity. Would you hold on to your interest if you were imprisoned for life after fighting a just cause to redeem your country from unfair system of rule? I guess many of us will think twice after one or two years in prison but that wasnt the decision of the late Nelson Mandela. South Africa was dominated by minority white and the majority blacks remained ‘inferior’ and treated with disdain through a system of rule called Apartheid. Mandela and his comrades ‘waged war’ against the system and were arrested and charged with treason. For good 27 years, he held on tenaciously to the dream of a rainbow nation.
